We are currently seeking an experienced and committed Healthcare Supervisor to lead care delivery, support our care assistants, and ensure the highest standards of service for our clients.
Job Summary:
The Healthcare Supervisor is a vital member of the leadership team, responsible for supervising care staff, ensuring compliance with care standards, and maintaining the quality of person-centred care services. This role requires strong leadership, a solid understanding of healthcare practices, and a genuine commitment to improving customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct care supervision visits and risk assessments
* Onboard new clients with tailored care plans and risk assessments
* Train, mentor, and assess new healthcare assistants (HCAs)
* Monitor and evaluate the quality of care delivery
* Prepare, review, and update care plans in collaboration with the Care Manager
* Proactively address and resolve care-related issues
* Foster a positive, professional team culture and manage conflicts as needed
* Support rota coordination and maintain service coverage
* Build and maintain trusting relationships with clients and their families
* Provide direct care support when necessary
* Ensure accurate and timely incident reporting
* Keep carer competency assessments current
* Report daily complaints to the Client Care Manager, including full details of any resolved personally
* Provide direct care support and cover care calls when necessary
* Conduct quarterly client reviews
* Mentor HCAs and participate in the on-call rota (including every second weekend)
* Deliver all care in line with Liberty Living Homecare policies, always upholding dignity, privacy, and independence
Qualifications:
* QQI Level 5 Health Care Award or equivalent (or currently pursuing)
* Full, clean driver's licence and access to a vehicle – Essential
Experience:
* Experience in a similar supervisory or senior care role is essential
* Background in homecare, domiciliary care, or healthcare settings
Skills & Competencies:
* Personal care expertise: bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility support
* Strong verbal and written communication
* Active listening and interpersonal skills
* Team leadership and mentoring abilities
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and care management software
* Compassion, empathy, and a client-first mindset
* Flexibility, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
* Professional appearance, confidentiality, and punctuality
Working Hours:
* Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
* Participation in the on-call rota, including every second weekend

Pay: From €31,000.00 per year
