Administrator – EU Partnerships & Projects
About the Opportunity
Our client is a national business support organisation with a mandate to enhance the competitiveness of enterprises through enterprise-led talent development. Working in partnership with industry bodies and businesses across Ireland, the organisation delivers upskilling, talent development and innovation supports to thousands of companies and employees each year.
The organisation is publicly funded and actively collaborates with European partners on a range of skills and innovation initiatives. It participates in multiple EU-funded projects focused on digital transformation, sustainability and workforce development, and is recognised internationally as a best-practice model for enterprise-led skills development.
Role Purpose
Our client is seeking an Administrator to join its EU Partnerships and Projects team. Working closely with EU Project Specialists and liaising with internal departments, the successful candidate will support the delivery of EU-funded projects and contribute to the organisation’s broader engagement across European initiatives.
This role will also take responsibility for the effective use of internal tools and systems, supporting institutional knowledge development and ensuring strong compliance with European and organisational governance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
EU Projects Administration (approx. 60%)

Support the EU Partnerships and Projects team in implementing responsibilities across EU-funded projects.
Assist with financial and technical reporting activities.
Contribute to the management of project milestones and deliverables.
Support the organisation of meetings, workshops and events.
Assist in the preparation of presentations, reports and supporting materials.
Ensure the effective use of internal tools and systems to support project delivery and team activities.

General Administration (approx. 40%)

Schedule and coordinate internal team meetings and follow up on agreed actions.
Coordinate monitoring and reporting deadlines across the team.
Maintain and update SharePoint files, Asana tasks and internal documentation.
Lead the development of internal knowledge resources, including supporting learning and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Support team compliance processes, ensuring governance and reporting standards are upheld.
Ensure alignment and integration of team tools and processes with those used across the wider organisation.
Provide additional administrative support as required to support the objectives of the EU Partnerships and Projects team.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar administrative or project support role.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
High level of attention to detail.
Intermediate proficiency in project coordination and project management tools.
Experience supporting budget monitoring and reporting activities.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

A third-level qualification or equivalent professional qualification.
Experience using Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and Asana.
Exposure to EU-funded projects and/or the vocational education and training (VET) sector.
A recognised qualification in project management.
