Description
Responsible for the growth of a successful accountancy practice, the role of Director is to increase revenue and profit.

This means helping client businesses to be successful, providing strategic direction for the organisation and creating a culture where people are strongly connected to the vision, mission and values.

The role requires a highly respected leader who is business, client and people focused.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a commercial strategy that increases shareholder value

Recruit, develop and manage a high performing senior team who deliver a great service to clients and deliver strong recovery rates for the business

Set the organisations, vision, values and standards to create a strong proposition for people and clients to buy in to

Contribute knowledge and expertise to promote the success of the organisation and to reduce risk

Set billing targets, measure performance and take action when off track to ensure delivery of strong financial performance

Implement effective financial practices and processes to promote strong financial management of the business

Provide ongoing leadership and direction across the organisation to help people deliver results

Ensure the organisation complies with all legal and ethical standards and statutory regulations

Create a high performing culture where people are strongly connect to the vision, mission and values and take action to remedy if not

Complete a final review of larger/complex files to ensure the best possible value, advice and quality for clients

Develop and maintain the highest standards of technical knowledge and expertise for self and others

Provide industry leading insights, knowledge and advice which create value for clients

Manage and grow own portfolio of larger/higher yield clients

Create and maintain strong and long lasting relationships with clients and other stakeholders

Promote the products, services and image of the firm in order generate new business opportunities and enhance the reputation of the firm

Provide industry leading insights, solutions and advice to build the firm's reputation, referral network and client base

Build network and profile to promote cross-selling, referral and introduction opportunities

Develop and implement a marketing strategy that raises awareness of the firm's brand and its products and services

Key Requirements
CR – JIEB, Appointment taking licence authorised by one of the UK regulators

A & A – ACCA/ACA

Tax - CTA desirable but not mandatory

Additional Requirements
