Wexford General Hospital is a 280-bedded hospital providing Inpatient, Outpatient, Day Care, Outreach and Emergency Services and is situated in the South East corner of Ireland.

Description
The NCHD's standard duties and responsibilities include, as directed by the Consultant / Clinical Director / Employer:
1. Participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team in the provision of medical care to patients.
2. Diagnose and treat patients.
3. Ensure that duties and functions are undertaken in a manner that prioritises the safety and well-being of patients.
4. Assess patients on admission and/or discharge as required and write detailed reports in the case notes.
5. Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
6. Initiate and monitor treatment.
7. Communicate effectively with patients and clients.
8. Further progress knowledge of diagnosis and management.
9. Participate in multidisciplinary clinical audit and proactive risk management.
10. Co-operate with arrangements to verify the delivery of all contractual commitments.
11. Ensure compliance with the requirements of the European Working Time Directive and related Irish legislation.
12. Co-operate with investigations, enquiries or audits relating to the provision of health services.
13. Comply with statutory and regulatory requirements, corporate policies and procedures.
14. Attend at NCHD Induction.
15. Perform other duties as required by the supervising Consultant / Clinical Director / Employer.
