Your Day-to-Day Life
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to be part of our strategic growth in Ireland.
This position will play a key role in strengthening Mérieux NutriSciences' market presence and driving new business opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have a field-based role (60-70%) combining strategic sales development and Key Account Management to accelerate commercial expansion.
* Expand Mérieux NutriSciences' presence and visibility in the Irish market.
* Lead new business sales and manage existing accounts to drive revenue growth.
* Develop and execute strategic account plans to foster long-term partnerships.
* Cross-sell services including food microbiology, nutritional chemistry testing, training, and consultancy into existing accounts.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development & Sales Expansion
* Engage with prospective clients to promote Mérieux NutriSciences' services.
* Develop a strategic sales plan to ensure sustained revenue growth.
* Lead sales negotiations and contract discussions.
Key Account Management & Cross-Selling
* Act as primary point of contact for assigned key accounts.
* Develop strong relationships with clients and identify cross-selling opportunities.
* Renew quotations within the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
* Support clients with service concerns and customized solutions.
Market Visibility & Relationship Building
* Represent Mérieux NutriSciences at industry events and client meetings.
* D deliver professional presentations and proposals tailored to client needs.
* Collaborate with internal teams to align service offerings with market demands.
Your Profile
* Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Business, Microbiology, or a related field.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or account management.
* Proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
* Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to manage and develop key accounts.
* Excellent IT proficiency, including experience with CRM tools and KPI tracking.
* Full, clean Irish driving license and willingness to travel regularly.
* Experience in tender preparation and submission.
