About RentRight
RentRight is a property startup focused on modernising how we manage residential properties.
We are now seeking a capable Junior Full-Stack Developer to lead the development of our Minimum Viable Product (MVP) from concept to deployment.
Role Overview
This is a hands-on role suited to a high-performing final-year Computer Science or Software Development student, recent graduate, or early-career developer.
You will be responsible for building the MVP end-to-end, ensuring the architecture is clean, scalable, and easily extendable for future feature development.
You will work directly with the founder to translate business requirements into a structured technical build.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop a full-stack web application
* Build and manage database architecture
* Implement secure user authentication and role-based access
* Develop APIs and backend services
* Deliver a clean, scalable, well-documented codebase
* Deploy the application to a cloud environment (e.g., AWS, Azure, Vercel, etc.)
* Prepare the platform for future feature expansion
Required Skills
* Strong understanding of full-stack development
* Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React,, or similar)
* Database design experience (SQL or NoSQL)
* Understanding of API development
* Git version control
* Ability to work independently and deliver structured solutions
Desirable
* Experience building SaaS applications
* Experience with Firebase, Supabase, or similar backend services
* Cloud deployment experience
* UI/UX awareness
* Previous startup or side-project experience
Ideal Candidate
* Final year Level 8 Computer Science / Software Development student
* Higher Diploma in Software Development candidate
* Recent graduate looking to build real startup experience
* Entrepreneurial mindset and problem-solving ability
* Comfortable taking ownership of a project
