Responsibilities
Creating an inspiring and welcoming environment for colleagues and customers
Being responsible for the store when the Store Manager/Deputy Manager are not present
Ensuring the team is fully trained and validated in their role
Fostering two-way communication and a culture of trust
Coaching and managing colleagues to deliver daily priorities and meet customer needs
Reviewing reports and systems to drive improvements for customers and colleagues
Driving a culture of zero food waste, managing date codes, and ensuring no suitable-for-consumption food goes to waste
Recruiting the best colleagues who are passionate about customers
Understanding cleaning specifications and ensuring adherence through the team
Managing stock control activities, warehouse layout, and processes to ensure accurate first-time completion
Root causing any pricing issues, overcharges, refunds, and label routines to ensure correct pricing
Managing the front-end operation to minimise queues
Recognising great service and providing feedback where necessary
You will need
For the Line Manager role you should have a demonstrated track record of:
Being passionate about delivering the right way for customers and colleagues
Being adaptable and agile in thinking
Delivering key objectives in a fast-paced environment
Being the “Go To” person for all queries for your department
Shaping and influencing at senior levels
Previous retail experience preferred in a similar role
