Role Overview
The Riverside Park Hotel & Leisure Club is seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Assistant to join our team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the hotel's financial operations, with responsibilities including income auditing, accounts receivable functions, daily reconciliations, and other ad hoc accounting duties.

Key Responsibilities
Income Auditing:
Carry out daily income audits by reviewing revenue reports and verifying income streams.
Ensure all hotel revenue streams (rooms, food & beverage, leisure club etc) are accurately recorded and reconciled.
Investigate and resolve any income variances or discrepancies in a timely manner.
Prepare daily and monthly income audit reports for management.
Accounts Receivable:
Manage accounts receivable functions including billing, posting, and collections.
Support the preparation and posting of journal entries as required.
Provide support for month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Cash & Card Reconciliations:
Perform daily cash, credit card, and bank reconciliations.
Monitor and report variances in cash handling across departments.
Support cash management processes in line with hotel financial policies.
Compliance & Reporting:
Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and hotel procedures.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Collaboration & Ad Hoc Duties:
Work closely with the Assistant Financial Controller and Operation teams to improve financial procedures and reporting accuracy.
Support ad hoc accounting projects and other duties as directed by management
Support colleague with any additional tasks that need to be completed in a timely fashion.
Checking statements for Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
Previous experience in an accounting or finance role.
Recognised accounting qualification (or working towards).
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and reconciliations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
High attention to detail with strong numerical and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Desirable
Previous experience in hotel finance or income auditing.
Experience with hotel property management systems such as Hotsoft (PMS)
Experience using AccountsIQ or similar accounting software.
