The Blackrock Health Group has embarked on a large-scale EHR (Electronic Health Record) programme to implement Meditech's advanced EHR system across all institutions in the group.
The Group is looking to hire a Surgical Services (Theatre) Site Lead for Hermitage Clinic.
This position is based in Hermitage Clinic and will also involve travel to Blackrock Health Group hospitals as necessary.
The successful candidate will form part of the Surgical Services team required for the successful delivery of the Surgical Services application from both an operational & clinical documentation/workflow perspective.
As a Site Lead the successful candidate is instrumental in ensuring that the needs of Hermitage Clinic Theatre department are represented in all discussions.
Role Requirements
Reporting to the Surgical Services Expanse Team Lead to ensure successful delivery of the Surgical Services application into Hermitage Clinic
Clarifying current Hermitage Clinic theatre workflows, processes, nursing documentation & systems in collaboration with other team members
Participating in the Surgical Services Standardisation committee ensuring Surgical Services content & workflows are aligned with program objectives and guiding principles
Participating in the Surgical Services build, testing and rollout of the new Meditech prototype to all institutions in the Blackrock Health group
Participating in risk identification, management and escalation processes
Working collaboratively with the other Implementation teams especially Supply Chain Management team to identify interdependencies and resolve any issues as they arise
Participating in the development of training materials and downtime procedures
Participating in the delivery of end-user training
Status reporting to the Surgical Services Expanse Team Lead
Liaising with the BI (Business Intelligence)/Data team for the provision of surgical services reports required for initial implementation across the Blackrock Health group
Involvement in relevant EHR events as necessary e.g., scoping, communication events, validation exercises, cutover etc.
Note: some aspects of this role will not be exclusive to the Hermitage Clinic; the successful candidate will also participate in the build, testing and implementation across all sites.
Responsibilities may change or vary depending on the needs of the programme at any particular stage.
Required experiences and skillsets
Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner
Experience working in a Theatre environment, ideally with extensive experience working in Hermitage Clinic
Ability to forge strong working relationships, and to build trusting relationships with all stakeholders
Demonstrates leadership and influencing abilities, capable of inspiring, motivating and engaging both individuals and teams
Highly effective communication skills and the ability to interact with remote team members cross-functionally
Highly organised with strong time management
Strong Advantage
Knowledge of Theatre IT systems
