Job Description
CUBEMATCH is seeking an experienced IT Security & Network Engineer/Architect to support the delivery of cyber security and network transformation initiatives. This role acts as the key interface between the Cyber Security Project Team and Network Operations, providing technical leadership in the design, implementation, and optimisation of secure network architectures. The position focuses on strengthening the organisation’s security posture while ensuring network resilience, scalability, and alignment with operational standards.
Key Responsibilities

Lead network‑related cyber security projects across critical 24x7 operational environments.
Design and implement secure and scalable enterprise network architectures, including datacentre networks using ACI fabric design.
Configure and manage Cisco Next Generation Firewalls, including IPS, Security Intelligence, and related security features.
Develop network segmentation and zero‑trust security strategies to enhance security posture.
Support firewall lifecycle management, including upgrades, policy optimisation, and monitoring.
Implement application delivery solutions using Citrix Netscaler, including load balancing and traffic management.
Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure secure, resilient, and high‑performing network services.
Provide third‑level technical support, resolving complex network and security issues.
Monitor network performance and security to ensure service availability and SLA compliance.
Mentor junior network engineers and contribute to continuous improvement and operational resilience planning.

Qualifications / Essential Skills & Attributes

Master’s or Honours Degree in a related discipline such as Business, Data Analytics, Information Management, Finance, or Mathematics.
6+ years of experience in data‑focused roles within the Financial Services sector.
Experience working with Funds and Investment data, including knowledge of fund performance measurement methodologies.
Strong SQL and database knowledge, including experience with Oracle and MS SQL Server.
Understanding of relational data models, including the creation of tables, indices, joins, and database structures.
Advanced proficiency in Power BI and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to analyse complex datasets.
Experience working with multiple and disparate data sources, including data extraction, merging, cleansing, and transformation.
Experience with data cataloguing and metadata management, including business and technical metadata, lineage, and transformation documentation.
