Senior Project Manager: Noise Insulation
We are recruiting for a Senior Project Manager: Noise Insulation to join our Dublin office. The Senior Project Manager will serve as the contracting entity’s representative, overseeing a portfolio of capital projects and noise insulation programmes from planning through to completion and handover. The role ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with required specifications and regulatory obligations.
Work Location: The Senior Project Manager is expected to attend site four days per week, with one day remote working.
Responsibilities
Programme Requirements, Standards & Performance
Oversee and monitor project delivery across all key areas including schedule, interfaces, cost, variations, contracts, and risk.
Develop and maintain the Project Execution Plan, ensuring alignment with the contracting entity’s standards, governance, and delivery methodologies.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with the Airport Transformation Manager to ensure clear communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
Team Management
Lead and manage a team of Project Managers, each responsible for the successful delivery of one or more projects within the programme portfolio.
Oversee day‑to‑day activities of the Project Managers, ensuring proper use of project management methodologies, controls, and performance measures.
Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed resource plans to support effective delivery.
Provide technical, commercial, and contractual guidance to Project Managers.
Prepare and present performance reports across all projects within the assigned portfolio.
Collaborate with the Programme Director to identify, elevate, and resolve issues during delivery.
Project Management Activities
Lead overall coordination of projects, ensuring all interfaces are identified, managed, and addressed throughout each stage.
Maintain and manage the RACI task tracker to ensure clarity of roles and responsibilities.
Coordinate with technical teams, design consultants, and external service providers to ensure delivery requirements are achieved.
Organise and chair design review meetings and communicate formal design acceptance to the contractor.
Ensure all relevant parties are informed of design changes and impacts on project delivery.
Prepare and issue monthly reports detailing project activities and progress.
Maintain and regularly update the overall project risk register.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in project management procedures and templates.
Monitor project performance and apply performance management techniques.
Manage the project change control process, ensuring all changes are assessed, approved, documented, and communicated.
Manage the flow of project information between the project team and the client through regular meetings, reporting, and formal communications.
NEC Specific Activities
Review, assess, and formally accept programme submissions in accordance with NEC contract requirements.
Lead project delivery activities fostering collaborative working relationships.
Issue communications and contractual documentation under the Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC); perform additional duties defined within the contract.
Maintain close contact with the client to ensure actions reflect contracting entity objectives.
Manage the compensation event process so that the contractor is fairly compensated for any contracting‑entity‑initiated change.
Ensure the contractor notifies compensation events in a timely manner to avoid disadvantage.
Qualifications
Minimum 15 years of experience in construction and infrastructure, including aviation‑related projects of comparable scale and complexity.
Strong understanding of operating within a live airport environment, considering operational, safety, and stakeholder requirements.
Demonstrated site‑based project delivery experience and practical knowledge of on‑site construction management.
Proven experience developing and documenting construction project management best practices, policies, procedures, and delivery standards.
Track record of delivering construction and asset projects on schedule and within approved budget.
Experience acting as a client‑side Project Manager, managing delivery on behalf of the contracting or asset‑owning organization.
Strong stakeholder management capability, engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
Experience managing a significant multidisciplinary team across multiple concurrent projects.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to govern and drive outcomes to meet required standards.
Knowledge of NEC and FIDIC contract suites.
Knowledge of engineering and project management principles.
