We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Operations Manager to lead our operations in Galway and drive excellence across the production floor and supply chain.

What You’ll Do
Reporting to the Director of Engineering & Operations, you will be responsible for leading and optimizing all aspects of operations, including assembly, supply chain, purchasing, and procurement. Your focus will be on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC), with an emphasis on performance, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operations Leadership: Lead and manage the daily operations of assembly technicians and supply chain teams.
* Team Management: Provide direction, support, and development opportunities to cross-functional teams.
* Process Improvement: Use Lean tools and methodologies to identify inefficiencies and implement effective solutions.
* Planning & Scheduling: Coordinate production schedules, inventory levels, and resources to meet revenue and delivery targets.
* Safety & Compliance: Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with internal and industry standards.
* Customer Engagement: Act as the primary operational contact for customer projects, ensuring timely, quality delivery.
* Metric Creation and Adherence: Develop, implement, and maintain KPIs to monitor operational performance, drive continuous improvement, and align with strategic goals. Establish measurable targets for productivity, quality, and efficiency, analyze data trends, report on performance, and ensure team accountability.
What You Bring
* 5–10 years in operations management, preferably in manufacturing or automation.
* At least 3 years of project management experience, ideally in cross-functional environments.
* Familiarity with medical device manufacturing, aerospace, or automotive industries.
* Experience with mechanical and/or electrical machine assembly is a plus.
Skills:
* Strong leadership, team-building, and communication skills.
* Proven ability to manage complex workflows and prioritize effectively.
* Proficient in operational planning, budgeting, and data-driven performance metrics.
* Skilled in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
