We are currently hiring a Staff Nurse – Medical/Surgical Ward for a hospital in Galway, Ireland.

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
Deliver nursing care and treatments to the highest possible standard in line with established policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process, while maintaining accurate documentation and supporting discharge planning based on individual patient needs.
Administer medications, IV drugs, blood/blood products, and controlled drugs in accordance with hospital policies. Monitor patients after administration and report any adverse reactions or medication errors.
Follow best practice guidelines for infection control, report and manage infections as required, and work closely with the Infection Control Nurse. Ensure the safe handling and disposal of medical waste according to hospital protocols.
Requirements
Ability to work effectively as part of a team to provide high-quality patient care and services.
Maintains personal and professional accountability for the care delivered to patients.
Holds a Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification with valid NMBI registration.
Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
Shows a flexible approach to work schedules, including rotation between day and night shifts.
Registered in the General Division of the Register of Nurses.
Possesses post-registration nursing experience, preferably in an acute medical setting.
