About the Role
Senior Resident Engineer – MEICA
We are seeking experienced professionals with at least 7 years of experience in a similar role to contribute to Water and Wastewater infrastructure projects. The role provides an opportunity to play a vital part within the site supervision team in an Irish‑owned company that values efficient procedures and adaptability.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Project Resident Engineer and Employer’s Representative.
Liaison with the Site Supervision Teams on each Contract.
Dealing with contractual matters on‑site related to MEICA Works.
Assessment of Contractor claims and writing reports on same.
Assessment of Contractor payment applications against work completed.
Assessment of Contractor performance against Contractual KPIs.
Assessment of Contractor submissions including method statements and preparation of clear comments.
Review Contractor MEICA design submissions including equipment details against client requirements and preparation of clear comments.
Supervise works, keep records, measure, manage correspondence and contractual documentation.
Monitor the commissioning of the works and process proving.
Other duties as may be assigned.
Key Requirements
Primary degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or other relevant disciplines.
7 to 10 years of relevant experience in major engineering projects.
Strong knowledge of the water industry is preferred.
Familiarity with industry‑standard forms of contract.
Experience in the design, installation and commissioning of MEICA infrastructure.
Expertise with P&IDs, Electrical Wiring Diagrams, Control Philosophy, and Factory/Site Acceptance Testing.
Awareness of Health & Safety and welfare at work requirements during construction and operation.
