Join an innovative technology organization driving the future of sensor-based solutionsA global technology organization at the forefront of sensor-based innovation is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join its growing Sensors Technologies team in Cork, Ireland.This role offers the opportunity to work with leading-edge sensor technologies powering products across smartphones, automotive, XR/AR, gaming, smart interfaces, wearables, IoT, and advanced consumer electronics.This is a hands-on engineering role spanning the full product life cycle — from early research and development through to commercial deployment — and provides deep exposure to system architecture, software frameworks, and real-world product integration.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop embedded software in C and C++, ideally using modern C++ standards, for fixed and floating-point designs.Perform unit and system testing using frameworks such as Google Test.Architect and implement software frameworks and modules across CPU, embedded MCU, and GPU platforms.Implement system algorithms and perform performance testing, debugging, verification, and optimization.Create detailed design documentation, evaluation reports, and user documentation.Balance engineering trade-offs involving performance, memory, power consumption, and computational complexity.Program in at least one interpreted language (e.g., Python).Apply knowledge of SoC architecture to support the design of hardware models and development tools.Participate in new technology demonstrations, collaborate with customers and sensor vendors, and partner with cross-functional teams.Contribute to a broad range of sensor systems engineering activities within the Sensors Technologies group.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of experience in ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related areas or Master's degree with 1+ year of relevant experience or PhD in a related technical discipline.Strong programming skills in C, C++, and Python.Experience with embedded systems, SoC architectures, and performance-critical software.Proven ability to work across multidisciplinary engineering teams.Strong problem-solving mindset with excellent communication skills.If this opportunity aligns with your career aspirations, apply today or send your CV directly to -By applying to this role you understand that we may collect your personal data and store and process it on our systems.
