Overview
Our client is a well-established engineering and construction contractor delivering complex projects across pharmaceutical, semiconductor, data centre, life sciences, industrial and commercial sectors. They are now seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to support continued business growth. This role is ideal for a proactive, organised individual with strong leadership and problem-solving skills who can successfully drive projects from conception through to completion.
Key Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of assigned mechanical projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling and delivery.

Collaborate with internal design and engineering teams to ensure project specifications, timelines and budgets are met.
*
Use internal project management systems to track progress and maintain compliance across all project disciplines.
*
Support and coordinate project functions across BIM, Engineering, QA and Procurement teams, resolving issues promptly.
*
Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, identify risks, and ensure safety, quality, and compliance standards are upheld.
*
Build and maintain productive relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors; support contract negotiations as required.
*
Manage project financials including cost control, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
*
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, codes, standards, and health & safety regulations.
*
Implement processes to monitor, control and report expenditure in line with project budgets.
*
Produce accurate weekly client reports and monthly progress reports for senior management.
*
Collaborate with Directors and Site Managers to identify risks, support strategic solutions, and achieve successful project outcomes.
*
Contribute to a positive, collaborative working environment with both internal and external stakeholders.
Candidate Requirements
*
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
*
5+ years’ experience as a Mechanical Project or Contracts Manager, plus 5+ years in a Mechanical Project Engineering role.
*
Experience working with an MEP engineering contractor or main contractor on Life Science, Semiconductor, or Data Centre projects.
*
Strong technical understanding of Mechanical, HVAC and Process systems (design, installation and operation).
*
Excellent planning, scheduling, budgeting and risk-management capabilities.
*
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
*
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and perform under pressure.
*
Willingness to travel within Europe when required.
*
Full driving licence.
