Mason Technology is a wholly owned Irish company established in 1780, the principal activities are the distribution and supply of analytical, laboratory and weighing instruments and offers a comprehensive after sales service.
The Role
Mason Technology is recruiting for a Service Sales Specialist in the Munster region who will report to the Head of Service Business Development to sell and promote service and calibration offerings/solutions.
This role will help to position Mason Technology as the primary supplier of service and calibration offerings through the effective management of customer accounts in the Scientific Research and Development (R&D), Pharmaceutical/ Biopharmaceutical, food, and Industrial sectors. The individual will work within a close team of people with a high degree of specialisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Sales & Profitability: Drive sales by promoting service products, ensuring optimal volume and profitability.
* Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, fostering loyalty and repeat business.
* Opportunity Identification: Identify and pursue new market opportunities, expanding the customer base.
* Lead Generation & Qualification: Develop and qualify leads through various methods, ensuring a healthy sales pipeline.
* Sales Process Management: Ensure a seamless and efficient sales process, aligning with the company's overall strategy.
* Consultative Selling: Engage with clients to understand their needs and present tailored solutions.
* Proposal Development: Develop and present winning proposals that meet customer and company requirements.
* Collaboration: Work closely with other teams, such as account management and marketing, to maximize customer support and sales efforts.
* Technical Expertise: Possess a strong technical or engineering background, especially relevant to digital solutions or specific service offerings.
* Communication & Negotiation: Develop strong written and verbal communication skills, along with negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.

Qualifications, Knowledge
* Confidence and an ability to sell technical solutions through remote and in-person meetings etc
* The ability to understand customer applications and needs (laboratory and process areas) and to translate these into sales benefits and sales offerings.
* Strong organisation, and self-motivation
* Ability to manage a CRM tool
* Industrial, Scientific or Technical Sales background is desirable.
* Experienced in dealing with regulated environments such as Medical, Pharmaceutical or BioPharma sectors preferable.
* Full clean driving licence is essential
