Description
We are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining the integrity of our financial reporting processes and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including the preparation of financial statements, general ledger maintenance, and monthly reconciliations.
* Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and timely month-end close.
* Identify process improvements and contribute to the efficiency of our accounting functions.
* Oversee expense management, including costing, tracking, and budget allocation.
* Coordinate planning and forecasting processes, ensuring timely updates on costs and budgets.
* Ensure compliance with taxation, capitalization policies, and relevant regulatory requirements.
* Maintain evidence for reconciliations and controls, delivering quality customer service.
* Support business units with expense and headcount planning and reporting.
* Develop standardized reports and dashboards for financial reporting.
* Implement process efficiencies within the Finance function, especially in budgeting and forecasting.
* Engage with auditors and support project expense management.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 4 years' experience in financial reporting or accounting.
* Near or newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
* Proficiency in MS Office and IT systems; experience with accounting packages is desirable.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
This role is an allocated Controlled Function under the Fitness & Probity Regime, requiring enhanced background screening. Applicants must be eligible and authorized to work in Ireland and/or the UK.
