Data Analyst – SMP ProductLocation: DublinRole OverviewAn exciting opportunity exists for a Data Analyst to join a fast-paced and growing Operations & Corporate Shared Services environment. This role sits within the Security Master & Pricing function and is responsible for delivering accurate and timely securities reference and pricing data to downstream systems and business lines, including trading, operations, and regulatory reporting.The successful candidate will work on concurrent projects and deliver multiple initiatives that provide insight and analysis to support operations, with a strong emphasis on data quality, process improvement, and customer impact.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and contribute to projects related to data ingestion, storage, analysis, and reportingEnsure the accuracy and timeliness of securities reference and pricing dataPerform root cause analysis and provide insights into data issues and service recoveryAct as a Subject Matter Expert for escalations involving senior stakeholdersMonitor key performance indicators and recommend improvements to enhance customer experience and team performanceDevelop and maintain documentation relating to system functionality and data lineageIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and timelinessCollaborate with business and technology stakeholders across a matrix environmentUnderstand downstream impacts, workflows, and system dependenciesEnsure adherence to risk and control policies and proceduresRequired Experience & QualificationsEducationBachelor's degree (or higher) in Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related disciplineExperienceMinimum 3+ years' experience in data analysis, business analysis, or a similar roleExperience working within a global shared services model preferredExposure to capital markets, particularly securities reference and pricing data, is desirableTechnical SkillsStrong understanding of Equities, Fixed Income, and Options products from a market data perspectiveProficiency in writing complex SQL queries and working with large relational databasesExperience with AWS services such as S3, EMR, and LambdaExperience using Python and relevant data analysis librariesFamiliarity with financial market data providers (e.g., Bloomberg, ICE Data Services, Refinitiv) is advantageousCore CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated experience conducting root cause analysisAbility to manage multiple deliverables simultaneouslyExcellent communication and presentation skillsAbility to interpret complex data issues and clearly communicate findingsProven ability to work independently and as part of a teamStrong stakeholder management skills across business and technology teamsContinuous improvement mindset with a strong interest in emerging technologiesGood knowledge of financial securities and reference/pricing data within brokerage operationsOrganisational ImpactThis role supports a critical operational function responsible for processing securities transactions and maintaining high-quality data standards across trading, brokerage, and regulatory environments.
