We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Process Quality Engineer to join a leading manufacturing organisation specialising in high-volume precision components and engineered solutions.
This role will focus on managing process and product quality while driving continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations, including Cold Forming, Cold Heading, and Screw Machine processes.
Key Responsibilities
Drive continual improvement initiatives focused on: Reduction of non-conforming material and customer complaints, Reduction of Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), Reduction of process variation and manufacturing waste
Lead problem-solving activities with cross-functional teams when failures occur and implement robust Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
Maintain and improve compliance with IATF16949 quality standards
Monitor, maintain, and report quality performance metrics on a Daily, Weekly, and Monthly basis
Communicate quality-related issues effectively to relevant stakeholders
Lead validation activities within assigned manufacturing areas
Conduct internal Quality Management System (QMS) audits as required
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and quality ownership throughout the organisation
Support additional quality and operational initiatives as required by the business
Requirements
Degree qualification in Engineering, Quality, or a related discipline
Experience or process knowledge within: Cold Forming (CF), Cold Heading (CH), Screw Machine (SM) manufacturing processes
would be a significant advantage
Strong computer literacy and ability to learn company-specific systems
Proactive approach to identifying process weaknesses and implementing improvements
Lean Sigma Green Belt certification or higher would be advantageous
Previous exposure to problem-solving methodologies and CAPA processes is desirable
Experience working within a manufacturing or regulated quality environment preferred
