Store Operations Manager Role
This dynamic role involves leading a team of retail professionals in a fast-paced sports retail environment.
As an integral part of our retail operation, the Store Operations Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of store operations, including sales, staff, customer experience, security, health and safety, stock, and resource management.
The successful candidate will be a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage store operations to drive sales performance and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
* Meet and exceed store targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
* Recruit, train, coach, and manage staff following company policies, ensuring fairness and consistency for all.
* Manage cash, wage costs, and systems administration as required.
* Drive excellent Visual Merchandising in the store to engage, inspire, and educate the consumer.
* Ensure all in-store services are suitably staffed and promoted.
* Monitor potential shoplifters and follow security guidelines to deter pilferage and protect stock.
* Responsible for overall Health & Safety in the store.
* Provide cover for other stores as required.
Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years of retail management experience.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, people management, and leadership skills.
* Passionate about delivering an excellent customer experience with an understanding of how this drives sales and affects the bottom line.
* Strong product knowledge and proficient in IT knowledge, including Excel and SAP.
