Commercial Manager

A client of Strive Search is looking for a Commercial Manager to join a data centre project in Dublin. This is a senior role focused on financial oversight, budgetary control, performance monitoring, and achieving commercial goals. A key part of the role will involve leading a commercial team while driving delivery in a fast-paced project setting.

Key Responsibilities
* Direct the procurement strategy to meet programme, budget, and performance objectives.
* Implement and oversee robust cost management systems.
* Produce commercial reports for senior management and project stakeholders.
* Encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing from early design through construction to ensure alignment on budgets, procurement, and scope.
* Build and nurture positive relationships with clients and subcontract partners.
* Work closely with project managers to evaluate risks and opportunities, taking proactive steps where necessary.
* Manage subcontractor and supplier onboarding, ensuring alignment with both budgetary and project requirements.
* Ensure all contract and procurement documentation is clear, accurate, and protective of company interests.
* Support timely invoicing, client billing, and cash flow management in line with contracts.
* Promote efficiency and contractual compliance across the supply chain.
Key Skills Required
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or a closely related field.
* Proven experience working with a main contractor.
* Background in MEP and data centre delivery is highly advantageous.
* Knowledge of different procurement approaches
* Excellent communication, numeracy, and problem-solving skills.
