Job Opportunity: Shift Technician
We are seeking a skilled and diligent Shift Technician to join our team in County Kerry. As a key member of our production department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.
This is a full-time, permanent position that involves supporting the shift production supervisor to maintain high productivity levels during working hours. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in injection moulding, silicone moulding, and automated assembly, with a strong focus on quality control and process optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the shift production supervisor to achieve daily production targets and maintain efficient workflow.
* Assist in troubleshooting and resolving machine breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime.
* Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as mould changerovers and cleaning procedures, to ensure equipment is running at optimal levels.
* Monitor and report on product quality, raw material usage, and machine performance to identify areas for improvement.
* Communicate clearly with team members to coordinate workflow and provide feedback on work performance.
* Provide support to operatives when necessary and assist in managing their workload.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including cleanroom and hygiene standards, to create a safe working environment.
* Support employee training and development initiatives to enhance skills and knowledge within the team.
* Report any issues or concerns to management in a timely and constructive manner.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a related field, preferably in injection moulding, silicone moulding, or automated assembly.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
* Familiarity with quality control procedures and regulatory standards.
