Business Development Manager – Healthcare Staffing

The Role:
We’re looking for a motivated and entrepreneurial Business Development Manager to help grow GS Healthcare’s presence across the Irish and UK healthcare markets. You will be instrumental in developing our client base, forming strategic partnerships with hospitals, care homes, and health organisations in need of overseas healthcare talent.
Main Responsibilities:
* Client Prospecting: Research and connect with healthcare organisations in Ireland and the UK to introduce GS Healthcare’s services.
* Relationship Building: Foster trust and strong working relationships with stakeholders, HR professionals, and operational leaders in the healthcare sector.
* Market Insights: Monitor industry trends and understand workforce gaps, regulatory updates, and compliance standards.
* Sales Strategy & Execution: Build and implement business development strategies to meet growth goals and expand market share.
* Brand Representation: Represent GS Healthcare at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to promote our brand and services.
* Team Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with recruiters and operations teams to ensure client expectations are clearly understood and met.
* Regulatory Awareness: Stay current on licensing, immigration, and employment regulations relevant to overseas healthcare professionals in Ireland and the UK.
* Performance Reporting: Maintain accurate records of outreach, pipeline status, and market feedback for regular reporting.
Who You Are:
* Healthcare Sector Experience: Ideally, you’ve worked in healthcare staffing, recruitment, or workforce planning, either in a hospital, care home, or agency setting.
* Self-Motivated: You thrive in a role with autonomy and take initiative to drive business growth.
* Sales-Focused: You have a solid track record in B2B sales or business development, especially in a healthcare or recruitment context.
* Industry Knowledge: You understand key processes like NMC registration, visa sponsorship, and hiring pathways for nurses and healthcare assistants.
* Great Communicator: You’re comfortable presenting to leadership teams and know how to tailor your message to different audiences.
* Highly Organised: You can juggle multiple prospects, projects, and deadlines without missing a beat.
* Growth-Oriented: You’re looking to build a career, not just take a job — and you're eager to scale with the business and lead future growth initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Degree in Nursing, Business, Healthcare Management, or a related field is an advantage, but not essential.
* At least 3 years’ experience in healthcare staffing, recruitment, or a similar industry.
* Understanding of UK and Irish healthcare systems and overseas hiring regulations is a strong plus.
