This People Business Partner role supports teams based in the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland and the Caribbean. Working closely with the Country Leader in Ireland and the Regional Leader for the Caribbean & APAC along with other senior leaders your regions, this role is embedded within the One Firm People Team. Reporting into the Chief People Officer and working alongside the People Business Partner team, the Head of Talent Acquisition and Head of L&D, this position will play a vital role in the development of its People service across the client groups. You will provide your client group with high quality HR advice and support, anticipating future needs and ensuring the company meets the needs of all colleagues while adhering to best practice and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Foster trusted partnerships with senior stakeholders and business leaders
Oversee cyclical operational processes across assigned offices
Provide strategic input into people-related initiatives, ensuring alignment with local team needs
Drive performance management processes to cultivate a high-performance culture
Lead local talent reviews, identifying key individuals and supporting their development plans
Coordinate and advise on promotion processes
Manage employee relations matters, escalating issues to the Senior HRBP or Chief People Officer when necessary
Serve as a trusted advisor to the Career Coach population, supporting their development and effectiveness
Collaborate with the People Operations team to address employee inquiries in compliance with local employment law and internal guidelines
Resolve escalated queries from People Operations, and provide timely information as needed
Support the development and continuous improvement of our Career Coaches
Lead the Early Years Talent initiative, managing graduate and intern programs for Ireland and NI
Facilitate graduate exam preparation and manage examination processes for Ireland and NI
Engage with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ireland to strengthen graduate recruitment and elevate trainee accountant standards
Support Caribbean offices in meeting professional qualification requirements and nurturing early-career talent
Capture and relay learning and development (L&D) needs from the client groups / offices
Plan and execute high-quality local L&D events in collaboration with the Head of L&D
Partner with the Operations Director (Finance) to assess and forecast headcount requirements
Work closely with the Head of Talent Acquisition on local hiring efforts—including graduate recruitment, candidate insights, and onboarding logistics
Offer regional expertise to enhance talent acquisition strategies and identify effective sourcing channels
Deliver key people metrics and reporting to inform business decisions
Contribute to people-centric projects locally and across the wider group
Support the setup and growth of new office locations both in Ireland and internationally
Maintain regular communication with the CPO, Head of Talent, and Head of L&D on local activities and developments
Qualifications
Experience operating at Business Partner level, managing senior level stakeholders
Experience in a Professional Services environment, ideally Consultancy
Has experience of being a standalone practioner and working with a remote HR team
Strong commercial skills and a desire to act as a commercial partner to the business
Strong stakeholder management skills
Ability to build relationships and communicate with people at all levels
Ability to manage client group autonomously
Effective problem solving and facilitation skills
A credible and influential communicator
Confidence to challenge senior stakeholders as appropriate and when necessary
Experience of working on change and project related activity
Experience using an applicant tracking system (such as Workable, Workday, Greenhouse or similar)
Hybrid working - with 3 days in the office
