Electrical Shift Technician
We are seeking an Electrical Shift Technician to join Veolia Ireland’s Operations & Maintenance team, located in Dublin 8.
Location: Dublin 8, Duration: Permanent, Shift role: 4 on, 4 off (12‑hour shifts).
Role Overview
The Technician will support plant rounds, preventative maintenance, and plant repairs of utilities such as water treatment, wastewater neutralisation, CO2 recovery, nitrogen generation, compressed air, and refrigeration systems.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
* Perform rounds & readings of utility systems.
* Work 12‑hour shifts, 4 on/4 off; third_days 1/3 nights.
* Review spare parts requirements and maintain inventory.
* Complete on‑site and vendor training.
* Operate site utilities in support of projects & commissioning.
* Assist in definition of site safety systems.
* Maintain documentation in compliance with site and regulatory rules.
* Deliver delegated engineering tasks following good engineering practice and regulatory requirements.
* Keep training up‑to‑date in line with client SOPs.
* Ensure work complies with site EHS and Veolia EHS rules.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Electrical engineering degree or diploma (desired).
* 5+ years industrial experience in a similar role.
* Electrical/Instrumentation Senior Trade, City & Guilds or equivalent.
* Senior Trades, City & Guilds or equivalent in Electrical.
* Commitment to site EHS and Veolia EHS guidelines.
