Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit an experienced
Service & Commissioning Engineer
with a background in fire alarms, life safety systems, and emergency lighting.

The Role
As part of the technical team, you will play a key role in the commissioning, servicing, and handover of high-quality life safety and security systems.
You will work across a varied client base, ensuring systems are fully compliant, reliable, and performing to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
Commission and service fire alarm, intruder alarm, CCTV, access control, and nurse call systems
Test systems, diagnose faults, and carry out repairs where required
Ensure all systems meet regulatory, safety, and operational compliance standards
Complete test records, certification, and technical documentation accurately
Work closely with project managers, installation teams, and fellow service engineers
Support system handovers and provide clear technical guidance to clients
Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers
Participate in the out-of-hours emergency call-out rota (1 in 4 weeks)
What we are Looking For:
Minimum 2 years' experience in a Service & Commissioning role within fire, life safety, or security systems
Strong electrical background with a recognised apprenticeship or qualification
Hands-on experience with fire alarm systems (experience with CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, or nurse call systems is an advantage)
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of IS**** and relevant industry standards
Professional, customer-focused communication style
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
Competent with IT systems and electronic documentation
Full, clean driving licence
Willingness to undertake further training as required
