The Role :We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Hotel Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our 4-star hotel. This is a senior leadership role with full responsibility for operational performance, guest experience, financial control, and team development.The Hotel:The Castle Oaks House Hotel and Estate is a stunning Georgian House built in the late eighteenth century. Located in the picturesque village of Castleconnell, just 5 minutes from the M7 motorway, our Georgian House is set in 26 acres of beautiful mature gardens & woodlands that lead down to the banks of the River Shannon. The Hotel boosts a combination of 20 Bedrooms in the Georgian House, 20 Courtyard Suites and a newly renovated leisure Centre. One of Six properties within the Só Hotel Group, there are significant progression and development opportunities for ambitious and driven hospitality professionals.Reporting directly to the Regional General Manager ,the Hotel Manager will play a key role in ensuring the hotel is a cornerstone of the local community while consistently delivering exceptional service, strong commercial results, and compliance with all statutory requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience & Service ExcellenceLead a culture where guest expectations are consistently met and exceededMonitor, manage, and respond to all customer feedback and guest experiencesAct as the public face of the hotel, representing the business professionally at all timesOperations & LeadershipOversee all hotel departments, ensuring smooth daily operations and effective forward planningLead, motivate, and develop the management team and Heads of DepartmentDrive service standards across all areas, with particular emphasis on banqueting and weddingsCarry out Duty Management shifts as requiredFinancial & Commercial PerformanceControl labour costs in line with forecast and budgeted targetsMaintain strong financial housekeeping, including:F&B marginsCorrect billing proceduresCash handling and anomaly monitoringTrade and ledger debtor managementDevelop, implement, and review the Hotel Business PlanDrive sales performance across rooms, food & beverage, leisure, corporate, conferences, and weddingsCompliance, Health & SafetyEnsure full compliance with:HACCP and food hygiene legislationHealth & Safety and Fire Safety regulationsEmployment and licensing lawsEnsure all incidents, accidents, and reports are documented correctlyMaintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and hotel presentation at all timesStaffing & StandardsEnsure appropriate staffing levels within budgetImplement company standards relating to:Service excellenceCustomer careHotel presentationSupplier managementThe Ideal CandidateProven experience as a Hotel Manager or Senior Operations Manager within a 4-star (or similar) hotelStrong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and drive high performanceExcellent commercial and financial acumenExtensive experience in banqueting, weddings, and eventsStrong knowledge of hotel compliance, health & safety, and employment legislationHighly organised, adaptable, and solution-focusedA visible, hands-on leader with exceptional communication skillsJob Type: Full-timeWork Location: In person
