Senior Software Engineer - Tester
12-month contract + 12-month renewal
Pay rate: €605/day
Join our client's Cyber Security Services team to help develop capabilities for their fraud prevention platform, processing billions of transactions per month at execution speeds 10X faster than a blink. We are looking for creative, out-of-the-box thinkers to ensure the continued health and performance of these critical products.
Role Overview:
1. Collaborate with a talented team of developers and test engineers to build high-performance, high-volume Java fraud management applications.
2. Deliver Quality Engineering services including Code quality, Testing Services, Performance Engineering, Testing and Environment automation, Development Collaboration, and Continuous Integration.
3. Implement and maintain BDD/TDD practices, code review, and analysis techniques using open-source agile testing frameworks.
4. Author automated test suites for code, front-end automation, and API testing.
5. Perform ad hoc and exploratory testing to ensure the system meets end-user expectations.
6. Work closely with user stories to perform testing at all levels (unit, functional, integration, regression).
7. Contribute to the continual enhancement of best practices for quality assurance.
Skills and Experience:
8. Strong experience with Java coding.
9. Proficiency in JUnit/JBehave/Cucumber frameworks.
10. Experience in testing Web Services, Web UI, and APIs.
11. Expertise in creating and integrating acceptance and integration test automation scripts with Continuous Integration (Jenkins) and code coverage tools (Sonar, Clover).
12. Passionate about code quality and coding best practices.
13. Knowledge of Java, Spring, JUnit, Eclipse IDE, Rest Assured, JBehave/Cucumber, Selenium, Databases, REST/SOAP APIs, Continuous Delivery tools (Jenkins/Bamboo), and vulnerability tools (Sonar, Checkmarx/Fortify).
14. Strong understanding of traditional testing methodologies and exploratory testing in an Agile environment.
15. High-energy, detail-oriented, proactive, and excellent at communication and collaboration.
