Facilities Manager

My client is seeking a Facilities Manager to ensure the smooth operation, maintenance, and safety of all physical facilities. This role involves overseeing building maintenance, space planning, vendor management, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations to support a secure and productive workplace.


Key Responsibilities

* Oversee routine and preventative maintenance of buildings and systems
* Manage contracts and relationships with service providers
* Coordinate space planning and office relocations
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
* Develop and manage the facilities budget
* Lead facilities-related projects
* Manage audits and update office-related procedures
* Oversee security and access control systems
* Act as the point of contact between the business and landlord/security teams
* Serve as the out-of-hours emergency contact
* Manage and allocate car parking spaces
* Promote sustainability initiatives


Key Requirements

* Minimum of 4-5 years’ experience in facilities or property management
* Strong project management and communication skills
* Familiarity with building systems and maintenance practices
* Knowledge of Irish health, safety, and environmental regulations
* Facilities management certifications are an advantage
* Problem-Solving: Ability to assess situations quickly and deliver effective solutions
* Attention to Detail: Ensures safety and functionality through thorough inspections
* Proactive: Anticipates issues and takes initiative to resolve them
* Excellent Communicator: Professional with both internal teams and external partners
* Leadership: Capable of managing a small team and/or external contractors
* Adaptable: Comfortable with change, emergencies, and shifting priorities
* Time Management: Able to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
* Customer Service Focus: Prioritises comfort, safety, and satisfaction of facility users
* Reliable & Trustworthy: Manages sensitive access, budgets, and vendor relationships responsibly
* Confident Decision-Maker: Makes sound choices under pressure, especially in urgent situations
