Supply Chain Director Job Description
The role of Supply Chain Director is to lead and manage the global supply planning function, ensuring optimal supply to meet customer demand. This involves implementing and stabilizing plans and decisions from the monthly enterprise Integrated Business Planning process.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead a team of supply planners to develop a comprehensive view of the demand plan, ensuring data accuracy and visibility of demand signals to drive supply plans.
* Develop an accurate and stable supply signal to be used by global operations to meet customer demand.
* Monitor and synchronize information and product flows to prevent supply disruptions and support new opportunities.
* Partner with Inventory Optimization to maintain inventory levels in line with service requirements and customer expectations.
* Coordinate on demand visibility for new product introductions and discontinuations to optimize revenue and minimize Excess & Obsolete.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering; Masters preferred.
* 10+ years of hands-on combined experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Production Planning or other Supply Chain disciplines.
* Previous experience leading the implementation or execution of IBP process, S&OP or related business planning process.
* Strong understanding of ERP/MRP fundamentals.
* Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
