You will work with cutting-edge technology on the latest vehicle systems to ensure the safety, performance, and longevity of these vehicles.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnostic Assessment: Conduct comprehensive diagnostic tests and inspections to identify issues relating to customer concerns to achieve a first time fix.Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance and advanced repairs on electric, hybrid and ICE vehicles, including battery servicing, charging system checks, and powertrain component replacements.Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict safety protocols and guidelines when working, ensuring the safety of both the technician and the vehicle.Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all service and repair work performed, including diagnostic findings, parts used, and labor hours to ensure warranty procedures are adhered to.Software and Firmware Updates: Stay up-to-date with the latest software and firmware updates for electric and hybrid vehicles, and ensure these updates are correctly installed.Customer Interaction: Interact with customers to explain diagnostic findings and repair recommendations, provide cost estimates, and answer any questions or concerns related to their vehicles.Quality Control: Ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards and meets Volkswagen's quality and safety requirements.Parts Ordering: Identify and order necessary parts and components for vehicle repairs, and manage inventory effectively.Training and Development: Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in electric, hybrid and ICE vehicle technology through training programs and certifications provided by Volkswagen or other relevant organizations.Requirements:.Certifications: Qualified Diagnostic Technician from a recognized brand or training partner, VAG group a benefit but not essential .Experience: Previous experience as a vehicle technician or diagnostic technician is essential.
