The group has c.17,000 employees with 240+ leading companies.The RoleWe are looking to appoint a senior archaeological and/or built heritage consultant with experience in the preparation of technical documents supporting clients in addressing heritage constraints.The appointee will deliver technical outputs of a high standard to time and budget, such as desk-based assessments, built heritage statements, EIA chapters and ad hoc technical advice.The appointee will have an understanding of the legislative, policy and regulatory framework within which commercial archaeology is undertaken in both Ireland and Northern Ireland.Ideally the appointee will be eligible to apply for an Excavation License from the National Monuments Service (a ”License Eligible” archaeologist).Applicants should have demonstrable experience of contributing to site reports, archaeological desk-based assessments, environmental impact assessments and/or built heritage statements and written schemes of investigation.We are looking for a candidate to liaise with clients, work with statutory consultees, assess impacts on the historic environment, oversee archaeological sub-contractors and prepare technical advice. The level of responsibility will reflect the successful applicant’s skills and experience.
