Senior Manager, Sourcing

Position Summary
This role provides leadership and management to a global team of category management professionals and subject‑matter experts across multiple geographies.
The incumbent will oversee direct and indirect spend for the global Sterilisation portfolio, driving cost reductions, supply chain resiliency, and continuous productivity improvements while maintaining or improving product quality and vendor service levels.
The position collaborates closely with corporate functions and key stakeholders to create and execute effective cost‑reduction strategies.
What you will do:
Lead category strategy activities for the Sterilisation portfolio, ensuring alignment with the organization's global business objectives.
Develop, implement, and manage enterprise‑wide category plans that include cost‑reduction initiatives, new product development, and supply‑base optimisation.
Partner with Divisional Procurement, Supplier Quality, Global Engineering, Advanced Operations, Materials Management, Operations, Senior Leadership, Legal, and Compliance to align initiatives.
Negotiate, establish, monitor, and enforce supplier contracts and agreements, driving commercial terms that support quality and regulatory adherence.
Lead cross‑functional teams to deliver global category plans, addressing risk assessment, quality improvement, and cost‑control.
Advise and influence senior stakeholders, ensuring decisions align with overall category strategy and corporate priorities.
Champion supplier‑enabled innovation in sterilisation technologies, supporting sustainability and regulatory compliance goals.
Mobilise teams to deploy risk‑mitigation strategies including dual sourcing, market assessments, and supplier performance management.
Partner with finance to drive total cost of ownership strategies and adapt to changing market conditions, communicating market trends and technology insights.
Lead program initiatives, build best‑in‑class category management practices, and model strategic sourcing processes.
What you will need:
8–10 years of sourcing, procurement, or supply‑chain experience, preferably in highly regulated medical‑device environments.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, operations, or an equivalent field.
Strategic thinker with an ability to operate at both detail and high‑level levels.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and talent‑management skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Proven experience in world‑class strategic sourcing and category‑management practices.
Excellent negotiation skills, managing commercial contracts that include supply and quality agreements.
Strong written and verbal communication skills across all levels.
Ability to multi‑task and coordinate initiatives with a virtual, global/regional team.
Persuasive change‑agent capable of challenging conventional wisdom and driving results in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
Travel up to 30–40%.
