Location: Lucena Clinic, Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services Initial Base: Tallaght, Dublin 24 Lucena Clinic provides a comprehensive Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service for young people with moderate to severe mental health disorders to defined catchment areas, with an under 18 population of 172,585, residing in South Dublin City and County plus North and West County Wicklow.
Clinical Teams are based throughout the catchment area operating clinics in Tallaght, Rathgar, Dun Laoghaire, Bray, Wicklow town and Arklow.
Senior Psychologist (Fixed term 2 years; 0.8 WTE backfill) SJOG Lucena CAMHS, Tallaght Lucena CAMHS provides a comprehensive Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service to defined catchment areas residing in South Dublin City and County plus North and West County Wicklow.
An opportunity has arisen for a senior psychologist to join Tallaght Team 1.
The successful candidate will work within a cohesive, committed consultant-led multidisciplinary team, guided by a strong, evidence-based model of care.
The successful candidate will also be part of a highly skilled and active psychology department.
'The role involves participation in the service's emotion dysregulation pathway, which uses DBT as a model of care (further training may be made available, if necessary).' Role Summary & Minimum Requirements The successful candidate will be flexible, committed and possess: A recognised post graduate qualification in Psychology and meet the PSI guidelines for employment as a senior psychologist in the Irish Health Services.
Evidence of eligibility for senior grade position* Experience of working in CAMHS Proven skill in standardised neurocognitive and psychological assessment with children and adolescents with mental health disorders.
Proven skill in delivering evidence-based psychological therapies to children and adolescents presenting with moderate- severe mental health disorders and emotion dysregulation.
Knowledge and expertise in assessment and support of co-occurring neurodivergence.
Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills.
An ability to manage workload, perform under pressure and achieve deadlines.
An ability to undertake and complete projects in relation to innovation and improvement in service delivery.
Experience in professional and clinical supervision and teaching of junior colleagues.
A high capacity for responsibility, together with excellent organisational, interpersonal, time management and communication skills with an ability to supervise and prioritise the workload of supervisees.
Remuneration Salary Grade 367 Y PSYCHOLOGIST, SENIOR CLINICAL on the Consolidated HSE Pay Scale €98,503 - €115,784 per annum pro rata i.e.
€78,802.40 - €92,627.20 Initial location The initial location of this role is in Tallaght, Dublin 24.
However, you may be required, from time to time, to work at SJOG CAMHS other places of business or/and the premises of such associated companies or organisations as SJOG CAMHS may require.
You will be given as much notice of any such change of place of work as is reasonably practicable.
