Job Description
We are presently recruiting for a MIG Welder to join our team. Working on technical drawings, you will be required to inspect welds for quality and ensure safety throughout the welding process. You will have 2+ years previous experience and will have strong knowledge of Reading technical drawings. This is a full time, permanent position based in County Kerry.
* Perform MIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and/or aluminum components.
* Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding procedures.
* Prepare materials and equipment for welding tasks.
* Set up and operate welding machines and related tools.
* Inspect welds for accuracy, strength, and appearance using measuring tools and visual inspection.
* Perform grinding, cutting, or cleaning tasks on welded materials as needed.
* Follow health and safety procedures at all times, including the use of PPE.
* Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Key Responsibilities
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
* Knowledge of metals and their properties related to welding.
* Basic understanding of health and safety regulations in a welding environment.
* Welding certification is desirable but not essential.
