Senior / Lead Cloud Engineer - Daily Rate Contract - Hybrid-Working Model
In this role, the successful candidate will work as a key contributor within our clients cloud platform team, focusing on automation, infrastructure as code, and secure delivery pipelines to collaborate with engineering, security, and operations teams to deliver well-architected solutions aligned with industry best practices.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with engineering, security, and operations teams to deliver well-architected cloud solutions.
* Design and implement automation, infrastructure as code, and secure delivery pipelines.
* Contribute to production-grade cloud infrastructure design in regulated environments.
* Support cloud security, networking, IAM, and governance within AWS.
* Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.
* Work with multi-account cloud architectures, landing zones, or control tower setups.
* Implement zero-trust concepts, data encryption, and KMS integration.
* Automate cloud deployments using Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform).
* Engage in containerization (Docker) and orchestration (EKS/Kubernetes) workstreams.
* Monitor and optimize performance and costs in large-scale cloud environments.
* Contribute to open-source projects or participate in cloud engineering communities.
Qualifications
* 7+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering, including 3+ years of direct experience with AWS.
* Proven experience designing production-grade cloud infrastructure in regulated environments.
* Deep understanding of cloud security, networking, identity and access management, and governance within AWS.
* Proficiency in a scripting or programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Shell).
* Experience with continuous integration/delivery pipelines and GitOps workflows.
* Experience with multi-account cloud architecture, landing zones, or control tower setups.
* Familiarity with zero-trust architecture, data encryption, and key management systems (KMS).
* Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
* Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration platforms (EKS/Kubernetes).
* Advanced knowledge of networking (firewalls, DNS, Load Balancing, Proxies, etc.).
* Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, or Dynatrace, and AWS native tools.
* Experience in financial services, fintech, or other regulated industries.
* Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in cloud engineering communities.
