Reporting to the Head of International Markets, this person will lead pricing teams in structuring and underwriting complex reinsurance transactions, while building strong relationships with clients and supporting ambitious international growth plans.
Key Responsibilities Lead the structuring and underwriting of complex, bespoke life reinsurance transactions.
Partner with senior client stakeholders to deliver solutions that optimise regulatory capital and drive business growth.
Manage the execution of transactions from origination through to approvals and closing.
Play a key role in mentoring and developing junior actuarial talent.
Represent the business in negotiations with client executives, advisors, and legal teams.
What You'll Bring Actuarial qualification with 10+ years' post-qualification experience.
Strong background in life reinsurance transactions OR insurance portfolio valuations / M&A.
Excellent understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., Solvency II, APRA, RBC) and financial reporting, including IFRS 17.
Proven ability to build and maintain senior client relationships.
Commercially minded leader with strong communication and influencing skills.
