We're seeking a Senior Packaging Engineer to join a high-performing team focused on delivering innovative, compliant, and patient-focused packaging solutions for cutting-edge medical devices. Job Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop innovative packaging components and assemblies for Class II and III medical devices.
2. Serve as a subject matter expert on cross-functional project teams, contributing to new product introductions, technology transfers, and process improvements.
3. Develop and maintain technical documentation (design inputs, specifications, validations, protocols, and reports) in compliance with global regulatory requirements.
4. Lead or support root cause investigations, CAPAs, and process improvement initiatives.
5. Ensure robust package validation and qualification in line with FDA, ISO, and EU MDR requirements.
6. Collaborate globally with packaging engineering peers to share knowledge and drive best practices.
7. Apply project management skills to lead cross-functional initiatives and deliver impactful results.
8. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and stakeholders.
Ideal Experience Needed:
9. Bachelor's Degree (Level 8) in Engineering, Materials Science, Packaging Technology, or a related discipline; Master's preferred.
10. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in medical device packaging engineering or a related highly regulated industry.
11. Proven success in medical packaging design, development, and validation.
12. Strong knowledge of biomedical materials, manufacturing processes, and packaging regulatory standards (FDA, ISO, ASTM).
13. Excellent technical writing, project management, and communication skills.
14. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and making decisions with clarity and accountability.
