Bodyshop Administrator/Assessor
Location: Blanchardstown, Dublin
Northgate Ireland has been supplying and managing vehicles for businesses across Ireland for over 20 years. We continue to grow and dominate the light commercial vehicle market with depots in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, and Galway.
Our expanding network of branches and sizeable fleet enable us to deliver vehicles to customers faster than any other light commercial vehicle supplier, while minimizing downtime to keep vehicles on the road longer. Our fleet includes light commercial vehicles (LCVs) from leading manufacturers such as Mercedes Benz, Ford, Opel, Renault, Volkswagen, and Peugeot.
Due to our growth, we have a full-time vacancy within our Bodyshop team at our Dublin branch.
This is a great opportunity for someone with similar experience in a previous role.
Role Overview
Responsible for processing all damages (in life & end of life) requiring Bodyshop assessment & repair. Ensuring vehicle downtime is in line with KPIs and that no more than 2% of the Dublin fleet is in the Bodyshop at any time.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
* Take additional images of damaged vehicles as needed for damage packs
* Upload damage packs (files/images, etc.) to shared drives
* Perform quality checks on vehicles returning from repairs
* Notify Workshop Manager of QC outcomes for repair acceptance or failure
* Manage and monitor vehicles in the Bodyshop
* Manage damage packs to address missing or poor-quality documentation or images
* Act as the point of contact for Service Department and other departments for queries and support
* Provide training support to satellite branches as needed
* Liaise with Asset Department for vehicle collection/movements, advising if vehicles are drivable or require recovery
* Ensure job cards are raised promptly for all events and that CAP is up to date
* Update internal and external customers on repair progress
* Manage emails and correspondence as required
* Communicate daily with external Bodyshops
* Conduct weekly and monthly fleet audit reports
* Maintain filing systems

Person Specification - Education, Qualifications, and Training
* Leaving Certificate including Maths & English or equivalent
* Basic knowledge of vehicle panels and maintenance
* Experience in a Bodyshop at any capacity
* Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service and relationship building
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Work ethic and ability to perform under pressure
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills
* Enthusiastic with a can-do attitude
* Team player and adaptable to change
* Experience in vehicle rental or motor industry preferred
* Body shop, warranty, or workshop experience desirable
* May suit an apprentice mechanic or panel beater interested in an administrative role
