Location: Strabane, Northern Ireland (with travel to other branches) Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: Competitive, based on experience About the Role Happy Jobs NI is delighted to be exclusively supporting one of Northern Ireland's leading training and development organisations in the search for an Operations & Development Manager. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role overseeing day-to-day operations across multiple sites, while also supporting organisational growth through business development and tendering. If you're an experienced operational professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and wants to make a real impact, this could be the ideal next step in your career. Key Responsibilities Lead the organisation's operational management across departments and sites. Coordinate staffing, resources, and logistics to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. Support the Senior Management Team in the smooth daily running of the organisation. Manage cross-team collaboration and problem-solving. Identify and lead on tender submissions, funding applications, and partnership opportunities. Organise the company's presence at industry events, including planning and logistics. Contribute to financial planning and performance monitoring. Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including schools, employers, and funders. Essential Criteria Proven experience in operational leadership and resource planning. Strong people management and cross-functional coordination skills. Demonstrable experience in business development or tender writing. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Ability to prioritise multiple projects and deadlines. Experience in education or training is desirable but not essential. You may be right for this role if you've previously worked as: Operations Coordinator, Operation Manager, Business Manager, Centre Manager, Office Manager, Business Support Manager, Training Centre Manager, Project Coordinator, Team Leader, Branch Manager, Bid Writer, Business Development Executive, or similar.
