We are hiring a Staff Nurse- Womens Health Centre for a leading Hospital in Dublin, Ireland .
Responsibilities Deliver safe, patient-centred nursing care within the Women's Health Centre, performing routine and specialist clinical tasks in line with hospital policies.
Undertake holistic patient assessments, record baseline observations and support clinical decision-making.
Provide health promotion, sexual health education and specialist advice relevant to clinic services and patient needs.
Chaperone and support patients during medical examinations and assist with minor procedures, including IUD services and follow-up care.
Perform clinical procedures including cervical smear testing, venepuncture, ECGs, swab and urine sampling.
Conduct clinical risk assessments such as FRAX and QRISK scoring where appropriate.
Liaise with patients pre- and post-procedures, including education following IUD insertion and six-week thread checks.
Manage blood tests and imaging requests, ensuring accurate tracking and timely communication of results to clinicians and patients.
Coordinate clinic activity, including appointment queries and maintenance of clinic trackers across Gynaecology, Urogynaecology and Breast services.
Maintain high standards of infection prevention and emergency preparedness, including CPR, AED use and recognition and management of anaphylaxis in accordance with policy.
Requirements Must be registered in the General Division of the Register of Nurses maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
Minimum of two years of recent post-registration nursing experience (full-time or equivalent part-time) in an acute hospital setting.
At least one year of experience in a surgical setting is required.
Must hold a current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Experience in Theatre, Urology, Gynaecology, or Endoscopy is considered an advantage.
