Job Title: Senior Test Engineer
Job Type: Permanent
Job Purpose:
The candidate will provide manufacturing Test Engineering support and expertise in testing and failure analysis of implantable medical devices at the Clonmel manufacturing facility. The role includes supervising, directing, and mentoring a technical team to enhance product quality, improve test yields, and optimize electronic manufacturing systems, fixtures, and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform failure analysis on electronic test failures to identify root causes at the component level for implantable electronic medical devices.
* Collaborate with software developers to define and implement improvements to test applications and systems, enhancing manufacturing test yields.
* Work with cross-functional production teams to improve product quality, streamline efficiencies, and reduce production fallout.
* Conduct tests, analyze data, prepare reports, and execute validations in accordance with medical device standards.
* Utilize strong data analysis and problem-solving skills, employing common applications and in-house systems for component and device tracking.
* Complete regulatory documentation and submissions using change notice processes and procedures.
* Communicate effectively with quality, manufacturing engineering, and operations teams to provide feedback and resolve manufacturing and quality issues.
Education & Experience:
* Honors bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronic engineering or a related discipline.
* Over 10 years of relevant industry experience.
* Strong knowledge of electronics, proven problem-solving abilities, and project management skills to resolve issues effectively.
