This senior leadership role will oversee listed and OTC derivatives processing, lifecycle events, reconciliations, and strategic initiatives supporting hedge funds, private equity, and institutional clients.The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, regulatory compliance, automation, and innovation while fostering strong internal and external partnerships.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and develop the global Derivatives Operations function across multiple jurisdictions.Define and execute operational strategies to strengthen scalability, efficiency, and risk management.Oversee daily derivatives processing: trade capture, affirmation, lifecycle event management (resets, expiries, settlements), and collateral management.Ensure accurate and timely reconciliations of cash, margin, and positions with brokers and custodians.Manage end-of-day valuation and P&L reporting for derivative instruments.Serve as the senior escalation point for clients, brokers, and external stakeholders.Partner with clients on onboarding new funds, instruments, and operational processes.Build strong relationships with prime brokers, ISDA counterparties, clearinghouses, and custodians.Actively contribute to the broader Fund Operations leadership group.Drive automation and process transformation in partnership with internal technology teams.Assess and implement third-party vendor solutions to enhance derivatives workflows.Represent Derivatives Operations on cross-functional projects including system upgrades and regulatory initiatives.Regulatory & ComplianceEnsure compliance with EMIR, CFTC, Dodd-Frank, SFTR, UMR, and other relevant regulations.Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to identify and mitigate operational risks.The Ideal CandidateExtensive experience in derivatives operations leadership within fund administration, investment banking, or asset servicing.Deep knowledge of OTC and listed derivative products, trade lifecycles, and regulatory frameworks.Proven track record in building and leading high-performing teams across global locations.Strong background in change management, operational transformation, and automation.Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.Why Apply?This is an opportunity to lead a critical global function at SVP level within a world-class organisation, with the scope to drive meaningful transformation, shape strategy, and influence the future of derivatives operations.Contact us in confidence to learn more about this position and the benefits package.
