We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as an Industry Sales Engineer. This role combines technical expertise with business development to drive growth and adoption of our solutions.
In this position, you will play a key role in shaping the future of infrastructure by driving revenue growth within your assigned region through the development of new opportunities with strategic users.
Key Responsibilities:
* Grow revenue by developing tailored sales campaigns that highlight outcomes and business impact.
* Collaborate with marketing and solution engineering to craft user-specific initiatives that meet the needs of leading organizations.
* Engage senior stakeholders to advance strategic partnerships and translate industry challenges into compelling value propositions using our solutions.
* Analyze markets and industry trends to identify growth opportunities and maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline updates in Salesforce.
* Represent us at key industry events and user engagements to promote our solutions and build relationships with potential clients.
Requirements:
* Education: A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline is required; a master's degree is an advantage.
* Chartered Engineer (CEng), EUR ING, or eligibility for professional registration with a recognized European engineering body is essential.
* Professional Experience: At least 4 years of experience in technical sales, engineering consultancy, or infrastructure project development within transportation, utilities, or public infrastructure is required.
* At least 5 years of practical civil engineering experience with a focus on highway and road design, rail infrastructure, municipal works, or utility corridors is preferred.
* Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management, with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue or project acquisition targets, is necessary.
Technical Expertise:
* Proficiency with civil and infrastructure design platforms such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley MicroStation, OpenRoads, InRoads, or equivalent European-standard software is required.
* A strong understanding of the full project lifecycle, from feasibility studies and design through planning approvals, construction supervision, and project close-out, is essential.
* Familiarity with European engineering standards, national transport regulations, and sustainable infrastructure practices is necessary.
* Awareness of best practices for digital transformation in road and site design and civil engineering is also required.
* Up-to-date knowledge of major software vendors in this space to position our solutions effectively in competitive situations is preferred.
