Job Overview:
This is a senior role within the actuarial function, responsible for leading and managing Solvency II-related projects. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong project management skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Main Responsibilities:
* Solvency II Project Management: Lead and manage Solvency II-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes
* Actuarial Function Leadership: Hold the position of Head of Actuarial Function (or equivalent) for insurance companies domiciled in onshore European domiciles
* Client Advisory: Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, providing expert advice on Solvency II compliance, including risk management, capital requirements, and regulatory reporting
* Reserving Studies: Lead reserving projects for captives and small/medium sized commercial non-life insurance companies, communicating the findings to stakeholders verbally and in writing
Requirements:
* Numerical degree at a minimum of bachelor level (or equivalent)
* Full professional qualification (i.e. IFoA or similar)
* A member in good standing of an actuarial institute (i.e. IFoA or similar)
* Fluent in English, French, (Italian and German a distinct advantage)
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Programming skills (e.g. R, Python, VBA)
* Experience of working within the non-life insurance industry for a consultancy firm or directly for a(re)insurance undertaking or brokerage, minimum 6 years experience
* Ability to hold, and experience in holding, Actuarial Function (Solvency II) titles
