PositionThis position may be based in the UK (remote) or Dublin (hybrid).The roleWe are seeking a Data Protection Officer (DPO) with responsibility for ensuring compliance with local data protection regulations, such as the GDPR for the European Union, and HIPAA in North America. The DPO will handle all matters related to the protection of personal data and serve as the primary contact for the Data Protection Commission.The DPO will also act as the point of contact regarding GDPR compliance and ensure that the group’s data protection policies are implemented across all business units. The position will report to the Director of Compliance with dotted line to the parent group.The DPO will work closely with the GC, therefore legal qualification / experience is highly desirable.Responsibilities will address Data Protection matters encompassingSupport and Advice.Impact assessment and issue identification.Change design and implementation.Legal Validation.Communication & training design and roll‑out.Contractual affairs.Internal Control & Audit.Regulatory Monitoring.Qualifications requiredCommon‑law legal qualification is preferred.Master’s / degree in Personal Data Law, Intellectual Property, Contracts or similar.Circa 5 years of experience as a DPO within an MNC, law firm or Data Protection Authority.Autonomy and ability to work with multiple teams across different departments.
