Job Description:
Wassenburg Medical is seeking an experienced
Field Service Engineer
with
CSSD experience
to join our growing team in Ireland. You will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive support for a variety of advanced medical equipment, including instrument washers, steam sterilisers, endoscope reprocessing systems, low temperature sterilisers, and ultrasound decontamination systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Installation & Support:
* Perform
installation, commissioning,
and
validation
of equipment such as including SMEG instrument washers, Matachana steam sterilisers, Wassenburg WD440 Pass Through Endoscope Washer Disinfectors, DRY 300(D) Drying & Storage Cabinets, and STERRAD low-temperature sterilizers.
* Conduct
preventative maintenance
and provide timely
repairs
to medical devices and related equipment.
* Offer
clinical support
to ensure proper operation and usage of medical equipment.
Customer Interaction & Relations:
* Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients by delivering exceptional customer service and technical support.
* Ensure high levels of
customer satisfaction
by addressing customer concerns and resolving issues efficiently.
* Provide ongoing
training
to hospital staff on the use of medical equipment, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Documentation & Reporting:
* Liaise with customer support administration for the processing of service reports, invoicing, and related documentation.
* Maintain accurate records of all activities and service interventions in compliance with company procedures.
Compliance & Quality Standards:
* Ensure all service activities are carried out in line with
Wassenburg Medical's quality
standards
and relevant industry regulations.
* Continuously update and improve knowledge on industry best practices and emerging technologies.
Role Requirements:
* CSSD Experience
is a must, with a deep understanding of hospital and clinical sterilization practices and workflows.
* Technical Background:
* Ideally, a background in
engineering (
mechanical/electrical) or
service/maintenance technology
.
* Field-based experience
with
medical devices
or
electronic equipment
.
* Qualifications:
* Applicants should hold a
national trade qualification
or further education in
Engineering
or
Service/Maintenance Technology.
* Qualified validation engineer
(Eastwood Park or equivalent) is highly desirable.
* Skills & Competencies:
* Excellent
communication
and
customer service
skills, with the ability to build strong, trusting relationships with clients.
* Strong troubleshooting,
analytical
, and
problem-solving skills.
* Ability to handle both
electrical and mechanical
components of medical equipment.
* Organizational skills
and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
* Flexibility and willingness to travel as required for field-based tasks.
* A full
clean driver's license
is required.
Desirable Experience:
* Knowledge of hospital and CSSD operations and how sterilization equipment integrates into these workflows is an advantage.
