We have an amazing opportunity for a Lead QA Automation Engineer in the heart of Cork City, in this role you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of QA Engineers remotely with the view to eventually building this team on-site,you will be automating tests in projects to uphold product quality.
My client specializes in offering comprehensive Risk & Balance Sheet management solutions for financial institutions. They consider this role pivotal in the product development process. The automation aspect of this position involves conducting tests before product launches, ensuring the seamless operation of software and meeting client requirements in a cost-effective manner.
Key Responsibilities:
* Continue the creation, implementation, and management of QA processes, tools, and supporting technologies.
* Work closely with the software development team to formulate verification processes for business logic and code validation.
* Aid the implementation of smoke and regression tests, supporting a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) approach for delivering high-quality software.
* Demonstrate accuracy, thoroughness, and unwavering attention to detail consistently.
* Experience with Selenium, SpreadJS, Angular or similar tools.
* Actively seek opportunities for improvement and promotion of quality standards.
* Apply feedback to enhance personal performance.
* Monitor individual work to ensure quality benchmarks are met.
* Complete quality tasks in a timely manner.
Qualifications
* In-depth knowledge in software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
* Experience with test automation tools, involving the development of automated test cases using at least one programming language or automation tool.
* Selenium WebDriver with Behave BDD and Python experience desirable, or Playwright.
* Familiarity with AI tools for automation (we are currently implementing AI solutions to support our automation strategy).
* Proven track record of crafting clear, concise, and detail-oriented test plans and cases.
* Hands-on experience in Agile development methodologies.
* Specialised QA Automation experience, with a focus on API testing.
* Experience leading teams and projects.
