Job Summary
QSC is looking for a leader to head the software development team in our new Development Center of Excellence (DCOE) in Cork, Ireland. The Software Engineering Leader is responsible for managing the Q-SYS DCOE software team and working with Q-SYS development teams across the globe, managing multiple programs for different groups.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
* Leadership and Management: Lead the software and quality team in Cork, Ireland, providing mentorship, resolving conflicts, and fostering collaboration.
* Strategic Planning: Define and execute software delivery strategies aligned with company goals, integrating Q-SYS AI tools and infrastructure.
* Project Management: Oversee software projects to ensure timely, budget-conscious delivery with high-quality outcomes.
* Technical Oversight: Guide technical decisions, stay current with industry trends, and enforce best practices in architecture and development.
* Collaboration and Communication: Coordinate with global leadership and cross-functional teams to align development with business needs and report progress.
* Quality Assurance: Apply Q-SYS quality standards through testing, automation, and code reviews to maintain software excellence.
Skills And Minimum Experience Required
* Minimum 10 years of work experience in software development, with a proven track record of leading and managing software development teams.
* Proficiency in various programming languages, software development methodologies, and tools.
* The ability to identify and resolve issues that arise during the software development process.
* Strong knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, Test Automation and general release processes for cloud, desktop, and mobile applications is required.
* Strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to build new development teams, mentor and coach team members, manage conflicts, and foster a collaborative environment.
